Tara Williams-Harrington, MBA, CEBS, PHR

Born and raised in New Jersey, she obtained her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Duke University. 

Prior to opening Bricks 4 Kidz Essex County, Tara served as a Sr. Manager in Employee Benefits for large employers such as Brookfield Asset Management, LLC, and Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. in Nutley, NJ.  She started her career in employee benefits at Prudential Healthcare, as a large Group Underwriter, in the Advanced Management Develop Program, and prior to Roche she was a Health and Welfare Consultant with William M Mercer, Inc., in NYC.  What she enjoys most about her career is having the opportunity to design programs that provide true value to the employees and their families.

Tara always dreamed of instilling in children a love of education through fun and games. So, while pursuing her MBA at Rutgers Newark, she worked with her professors on creating a business plan for purchasing an “edu-tainment” franchise– Bricks 4 Kidz.

This program builds on children’s STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skills through model building meant to excite and involve. In one example, kids use LEGO® bricks to construct buildings and machines, all the while exercising their creativity.  The target market for these programs are tots to early teens, whether they’re having birthday parties or are involved in after-school programs. She intends to make a positive impact on the lives of children.

Tara has served as a leader in many volunteer organizations supporting school alumni, fellow work associates and the community at large.
