Autism Ontario LEGO Club (Recommended for ages 6+)

Bricks 4 Kidz and Autism Ontario invite youth in Sault Ste Marie to join Lego Club!

Many children dream of being an astronaut and traveling to space, so Bricks 4 Kidz® created an entire unit around space! Each week, participants will learn about real-life space exploration and build a new model related to the NASA space program. During this unit, participants will learn some of the science behind launching things into orbit, will hear about the most-distant man-made object in the universe, and discuss what it is like to be an astronaut in space. Are you a budding astronaut? An adventurer who loves space exploration? Then you’ll love our Space theme projects. We’ll be building NASA astronaut training equipment, a space robot and more in this exciting four-week session. Let Bricks 4 Kidz® launch your imagination to outer-space and beyond!   A Bricks for Kidz instructor (trained in teaching specific lessons involving the themes in the programs) will be there to support Lego Club participants along the way.

NOTE: Registrants do not need a formal diagnosis of autism in order to register for Autism Ontario events

Dates: Wednesdays’s – March 6, 13, 20 and 27,2024

Time: 5:30-7:30pm (with exception of March 13th: 6-8pm)

Location: Bricks 4 Kidz – Sault Ste Marie  – 118 Brock Street

Age range: Recommended for Youth (6-12 years old)

Fee: $20 (to participate in all 4 classes)

*Supervision/support may be required to assist participants with this program. Caregivers/supports are required to stay onsite during the sessions. There will be a separate space for caregivers to sit and socialize.
