CANCELLATION FEE – CAMPS  (Effective February 23, 2023)  Please ensure that you read this policy before registering your child. We cannot make any exceptions.

As a small privately owned business without government/private funding, we rely on our enrolment fees to pay our expenses. We appreciate your understanding.

If your child is sick and unable to attend our camp, please let us know in advance to the camp’s start time- we will do our best to try and fill the spot to issue you a full refund/credit. If we are unable to fill the spot, the cancellation fee will apply.

If you do not provide us prior notice, no refund/credit will be issued without a doctors note and the cancellation fee will apply.

Camp Offering/Cancellation Fee

  • Full Week/Full Day  / $60.00
  • Single/Full Day / $30.00
NOTE: We reserve the right to put cancellation fee policies into effect for other program offerings as determined to be required, and at any time.

PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS:

Bricks 4 Kidz reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrolment.  Upon cancellation, a full refund will be made less the cost of classes already completed.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS:

Bricks 4 Kidz reserves the right to cancel an individual class due to inclement weather conditions or employee illness.  We strive to schedule a make-up class as quickly as possible, and with all parent input.  In the event a makeup class cannot be scheduled, a credit equal to cost of the class missed will be applied to your account.

DISMISSAL POLICY:

Authorized Parents/Caregivers must sign children out of programs. The only people that your child will be released to are those listed on your information form. All persons authorized to pick up students must be at least 16 years of age. If someone other than a parent will pick up your child, please give us prior written notice. If there is an emergency and no one on your list can pick up your child, the primary parent/guardian must call the Bricks 4 Kidz Director (705) 541-1180 to allow another adult to pick up the child or send a signed note of authorization with that person.

CLASS CONDUCT POLICY:

Bricks 4 Kidz reserves the right to release, without refund of program fees, any child whose behaviour becomes unmanageable. This action will not be taken without a verbal warning. No child will be allowed to intentionally physically harm any other person or person’s property.

Bricks 4 Kidz highly discourages students from bringing any personal LEGO® bricks such as minifigures or personal LEGO® models to classes.

The use of electronic devices such as iPads, cellphones etc, will not be permitted during model and building time.

Bricks 4 Kidz is NOT responsible for damages or loss of any personal property while at a class.

STAFF SCREENING POLICY:

Bricks 4 Kidz instructors are individuals who have a great interest and ability in teaching Bricks 4 Kidz programs to students in an exciting way. Each instructor is trained in teaching specific lessons involving the themes in the programs. In addition, all instructors must submit to, and successfully complete, a Vulnerable Sectors Check conducted by either the Sault Ste. Marie City Police Services or the Ontario Provincial Police.

DO STUDENTS TAKE HOME THEIR PROJECTS?  Since we use our LEGO® supplies in classes and camps throughout the year, students do not take home projects or pieces.
