FAQs

Check out our frequently asked questions below.  If you have any additional questions, please let us know!

  • How do after school classes work?

A typical after school class runs in a 6 week session and meets once per week for an hour.  Each session is based around a theme such as Laws of Motion, Space, or Weather.   Classes follow our motto “We learn, we build, we play!”  The first 10 minutes of class are spent in a discussion and lesson about the topic of the day, the next 30-40 minutes are used to build the model that illustrates the topic or concept that we introduced in the lesson portion, and the last 10-15 minutes of class is spent doing creative free-play with our giant bin of LEGO bricks!  Contact us today if you are interested in having an after school class at your school!

  • What do you do for birthday parties?

We can customize a birthday party to fit what you and your birthday child would like!  We have several games and competitions to get the fun started.  We then work with the children to build a unique Bricks 4 Kidz model out of LEGO bricks.  The children enjoy both the challenge of the build and then the fun of playing and interacting with the motorized models when they’re complete.  If your child likes a certain LEGO theme, like Minecraft or StarWars, we can plan the party games and model builds around that theme.  For more information specific to parties, visit our Birthday Party page.  Note: We will come to your location for the party and will be the entertainment for your child and their guests.  We do not provide food, cake or paper goods.

  • What will my child do at camp?

Our 3 hour camp sessions are packed with excitement!  Your child will build themed models, create craft projects, play games and participate in fun games and challenges.  For information regarding specific camps being offered, please visit our Camps page.

  • How are Bricks 4 Kidz models different from LEGO products in stores?

Bricks 4 Kidz models are proprietary designs that are created by founder Michelle Cote and LEGO free-lance designer Daniele Benedettelli.  Aside from some of the LEGO products used in summer camps, the models your child builds in a Bricks 4 Kidz program are like nothing you can purchase in the store!

  • What Protocols are in place concerning safety?

Your child’s safety is our primary concern.  Each teacher in our classes, camps or workshops has passed a background check.  Children will only be released to his or her parents or another adult specified in writing.  We take the utmost care in identifying any potential hazards for the children and maintain a managed classroom environment to promote safety.

  • Do you clean the LEGO Bricks?

Absolutely!  The bricks in our project kits are sanitized with Lysol spray after each class.  Additionally they are cleaned, along with the free-play bricks, in a diluted bleach solution every two weeks, or as needed.  Our DUPLO blocks are cleaned with diluted bleach solution after each use with our preschoolers.

  •  Do students get to take the models home?

Unfortunately, no.  LEGO products are of high-quality and expense, so reusing our kits keeps our costs lower.  We do allow your child to build a LEGO Mini-Figure for each class session he or she attends and for each camp attended.  They may take these home at the end of the class session or camp.  For our birthday parties and selected camps, we do offer ” Make and Take” model options.  Please inquire about these if you are interested.
