Bricks4Kidz is an innovative, educational, STEM-based program that teaches children a variety of skills and lessons using technic LEGO® bricks, motors, and moving parts. Our programs provide an extraordinary atmosphere for students to build unique creations, play games, and have loads of fun. The activities are designed to trigger young children’s lively imaginations and build their self-confidence. They are taught fine motor skills, organization, and social interaction all while having fun constructing awesome motorized LEGO® machines!

We are currently looking for PART-TIME TEACHERS who love working with kids and LEGO® Bricks, for our hands-on after school programs! You bring the experience working with children, and we will teach you to build with LEGO® Bricks, in a fun and engaging way.

AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT TEACHERS NEEDED FOR FALL 2023!

A great job for preschool teachers, college students, stay-at-home moms or anyone with some afternoon availability. 

Most classes are in the West End with some in the City of Richmond and Hanover County.

• Class consists of the teacher giving a brief description of the day’s build, passing out the Project Kits (LEGO® pieces) to students who work in groups of two or three, assisting students with the builds as needed, then supervising free play, cleanup and dismissal.
• Classes are generally 1 hour long, with teachers arriving 10-15 minutes early and staying 10-15 minutes after class for clean-up.
• Classes are generally 12-16 students in size.
• Classes start as early as 2pm or as late as 4pm, depending on the location.
• Classes are held in local schools around the city & in Short Pump area.
• We provide you with everything you need (LEGOs®, instructions, etc.), you provide the classroom management!
• A great way to get classroom experience in a fun, relaxed setting!

REQUIREMENTS:
• Classroom management skills
• Experience & love of working with/teaching children
• Afternoon availability, at least 2-3 days a week
• Organizational skills
• Knowledge of LEGO® Bricks is a plus
• Love of building & creativity is a plus

COMPENSATION:
• $55 / class + mileage. You will likely have 2-3 classes per week.
