If there is an emergency and no one on your list can pick up your child, the primary parent/guardian must call the Bricks 4 Kidz® director, to allow another adult to pick up the child or send a signed note of authorization with that person.

For half day students, please pack a non-perishable NUT–FREE snack and drink. For full day students, please pack 2 NUT-FREE snacks, and a NUT-FREE lunch. Supervised lunch period is between 12:00p and 1:00p each day. Bricks 4 Kidz does not serve or provide snack or lunch. If your child has special food allergies/restrictions, please make sure to note them in the space provided on the registration form. NUT-FREE POLICY – Due to severe nut allergies, all Bricks 4 Kidz programs are NUT FREE. This includes all nuts and any food containing nut products. For example, granola bars containing nuts, Nutella, peanut butter, Uncrustables, and candies containing nuts.  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter.

Class Conduct

We love kids, and work very hard at taking kids where they are and helping them have a fun, educational experience with Bricks 4 Kidz. Occasionally a child has to be reminded to “Be Safe,” “Be Respectful,” or “Be Responsible.” Usually it is simply a matter of redirection, and the child is back to having fun, learning, and building. We do not want to have to suspend or expel a child when they prevent other children from having a good experience at camp. We reserve the right to do so, to ensure a high quality level experience for our campers. We reserve the right to release, without refund of class fees, any child whose behavior becomes unmanageable. This action will not be taken without verbal and written warnings. No child will be allowed to intentionally physically harm any other persons or person’s property while registered in the program. We discourage children from bringing any electronic devices such as cell phones or video games to camp. All electronic devices are to remain off and put away while camp is in session. Bricks 4 Kidz® is NOT responsible for damages or loss of any personal property.

Outside Items & Take Home Models

Please do not allow your kids to bring in any LEGO® Bricks, pieces, or mini-figures, other toys, music players, DVD players, video games, tablets, trading cards, to camp. Please understand, bringing items from home can result in the item being lost or misplaced, and we are NOT responsible for any items brought from home. It also causes distractions while camp is in session. If these items are found, they will be taken away and returned to the parent/guardian at the end of the day.  We understand that some parents send kids with cell phones – these however, must be kept in their back packs. TAKE-HOME MODELS – Since we use our LEGO® supplies in classes and camps throughout the school year, students do not get to keep or take home, any models, projects or pieces. There may be take-home models, as well as other items, for certain camps for students enrolled in a full week of camp (Does not apply to single day attendees).  All LEGO® items, books, pieces, kits, models, & games remain the property of Bricks 4 Kidz.

Bricks 4 Kidz Team

Our instructors are certified & substitute teachers and individuals who have a great interest and ability in teaching technology to students in an exciting way. Many instructors have taught classes with us in previous summers and/or assist in developing curriculum during the school year. Each instructor is trained in teaching specific lessons involving the software and technology products in the courses.  Our staff will supervise the students throughout the day, including during snack and lunch breaks. Children:Staff ratio is 10:1. In addition, all instructors go through fingerprinting and criminal history background check.

Outdoor Time

Due to the nature and structure of our camp, we do not have outdoor activities for morning campers. Snack time may be outdoor, weather permitting. Full day and afternoon campers may have outdoor time in the playground at the corner of 7th and Monroe.

Damages

Parent/Guardian will be held responsible for the cost/replacement of any Bricks 4 Kidz® equipment, furniture, fixture or property damaged by your child/children.
