About Bricks 4 Kidz

Bricks 4 Kidz® is devoted to providing an extraordinary atmosphere for children, where we learn, we build, and we play with LEGO® Bricks. Classes are designed to teach the fundamentals of S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education, built around our proprietary model plans, created by engineers and architects. At Bricks 4 Kidz, we believe that kids learn best through activities that engage their curiosity and creativity.

We offer activities for children ages 3-13+, including:

Our programs provide a safe, relaxed learning environment where initiative is invited and self-expression is celebrated. Specially designed project kits and theme-based models provide kids with the opportunity to solve problems and develop an appreciation for how things work, while having fun and socializing in a non-competitive atmosphere.

Goals:

  • Introduce engineering and architecture principles
  • Explore all four of the STEM concepts; science, technology, engineering and math
  • Increase general knowledge through discussions related to each model
  • Develop social/emotional skills such as patience, teamwork and communication
  • Enhance self-esteem by solving problems and completing projects
  • Improve fine and gross-motor skills as children manipulate small components
  • Utilize multiple learning modalities to engage visual, kinesthetic, interpersonal and auditory learning styles
  • Teach important classroom skills such as organization and following directions
  • Foster an appreciation for how things work

History:

The history of Bricks 4 Kidz is steeped in exploratory play. Over ten years ago, a mother of two saw how much learning took place while building with LEGO Bricks with her son Luke.  With each corresponding click of a LEGO Brick, the valuable lessons ranging from math and architecture to engineering and physics began stacking up. Ms. Cote, who had a background in architecture and design, soon began creating CAD models for them to build together.  Soon she started offering summer camps and classes in local schools. After seeing how well the initial programs were received, she combined her entrepreneurial spirit with her design experience to create Bricks 4 Kidz.

Since 2009, the company has experienced exponential growth, from one location in St. Augustine, Florida to more than 450 locations in 36 countries.  The global footprint has earned giant awards from Entrepreneur magazine including 4 years in categories including top global franchise, top children’s franchise and top 50 for home-based businesses. The world of LEGO Bricks has provided a solid foundation for teaching children about the concepts of STEM in addition to real-life skills such as communication, collaboration, and creativity.

10 Year Anniversary

Bricks 4 Kidz celebrated their 10th year in business by inviting children around the world to join in the festivities by building a custom model build and mosaic.  Owners around the globe were offered the unique model build to students enrolled in after-school programs, camps, workshops and Kidz Night Out events. With the summer camp season right around the corner, it’s a great time to celebrate and reconnect with our fun and educational programming.
