As the old saying goes “Time flies when you’re having fun”. This is certainly the case when it comes to Bricks 4 Kidz® in Newfoundland & Labrador!

We have so much to be thankful for in our 5 years of business. We have met some wonderful families who have been with us since Day 1 and continue to support us. We have had many wonderful staff members some who have moved on and are now in the teaching profession.
This business has taught us so much. We have learned how every child is unique and how every child has their own way of learning, but no matter what their differences, LEGO® is the common factor – LEGO® bricks have brought them all together.
At 5 years old a child starts school and begins a new phase in their life – the beginning of being a student. School opens up a whole new world to them. During the first 5 years of life children learn the basics – walking and talking. Being a business owner is like the life of a child – in the first 5 years you learn how to do things and you make mistakes along the way, but with the support of family you pick yourself up and move forward. You learn what works and what doesn’t – right from wrong. You learn to be open to new ideas and suggestions and most of all you learn how to adapt.
The first 5 years of life are fun, filled with playing and learning, but also it is just the beginning. For us, our first 5 years, has been fun , lots of playing, and a whole lot of learning. As a child get excited about starting school, we are excited about our next stage too. Every day is an adventure! We are going to continue to grow and learn every day and with the continued support of family, friends and fabulous customers, and who knows what the next 5 years will bring!!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who believed in us from Day 1 – to the school administrations who saw the benefits of such a wonderful program, to the parents who continue to enroll your child, and to all the students who love LEGO® , continue to use your imagination and creativity.
Most of all, thank you to my family. Without their support or belief in me, Bricks 4 Kidz® wouldn’t be what it is today.
One last piece of advice for anyone starting a business or thinking about it – LOVE what you do!! I know I do.
