Below is a current class schedule list for winter 2013. Included in the schedule is our traditional motorized building after school classes PLUS we have added our N*E*W* Jr Robotics Classes for kids ages 8-12 years. ALL of our class sessions, traditional and Jr Robotics, will all be unique, and contain new information and builds each session. We have also included are school break camp schedule, and a link for registration for those times when school is not in session. Check back frequently as we will be updating this schedule as we get additional dates from the school district. (Click Here to Register for East Grand Rapids Classes) Class Description: Using LEGO bricks, motors, remote controls and our proprietary model plans designed by engineers and architects, each four-week session will be an awesome mix of science and engineering, as kids build models that demonstrate the concepts learned. They will be challenged to think out of the box to solve problems and modify the models that they build as they are given a fun and engaging model engineering challenge to solve each week. Each 4 week session will provide a new experience for your child, as we cover various educational topics. NOTE: If child has NOT attended a Bricks 4 Kidz Jr Robotics Camp OR Jr Robotics Class Session They will need to attend Intro to Robotics course. CAMP: Lets’s Build & Design (Grades 1 – 5)
Students will build from our proprietary model plans using LEGO(R) bricks, motors, and battery packs designing their own model to go with the theme. Fun and interesting, each day is different and students learn to build their own unique creations.
CAMP: Fun with Remotes (Grades 1st thru 4th)
Using LEGO(R) bricks, motors, and more, students will build items that can be controlled with a remote control. This is a very interactive camp, with many challenges and fun activities using remote controls.
CAMP: Gadgets & Gizmos (Grades 1st thru 4th)
Students will build gadgets and gizmos from our proprietary model plans using LEGO(R) bricks, motors, and battery packs.These working models will be tested, and tried to see if they do what they were designed to do. So much fun! Morning and afternoon are all unique builds
CAMP: Machine Making (Grades 1st thru 4th)
There are many machines used in our world to make life easier. Students will build working models that are a representation of real life models, using LEGO(R) bricks, motors, battery packs and our proprietary model plans. Machines built will come from construction industry, factory, and more. Morning and afternoon sessions are unique and different builds.
CAMP: Vehicles & Remotes (Grades 1st thru 4th)
A fun-filled day building motor vehicles that can be controlled, and raced with a remote control! Different vehicles will be built in the morning and afternoon session, making each session unique.
