Bricks 4 Kidz® – Bricks 4 Kidz Tri-Cities/Mechanicsville is a proud supporter of STEM Education Enrichment.  Our programs offer additional outlets beyond the classroom for children to gain exposure to and explore engineering, architecture, physics, robotics, and other science topics.  All of our materials have been created by professionals active within their respective science fields and supportive of means to promote early-age exposure to STEM topics, sparking the natural curiosity children have while making the learning aspect a fun, enjoyable event.  We use LEGO® bricks, gears, motors, remote controls, digital cameras, animation and programming software as the hands-on teaching tools.  When a child is learning in manners that appeal to them, their learning is enhanced and the ability to retain information is greater.  All Bricks 4 Kidz® classes are executed per our motto: We Learn, We Build, We Play…with LEGO® Bricks.  Every class starts off with a LEARNING experience, followed by the BUILDING challenge, and then children are encouraged to apply their creativity through PLAYING.  A typical 1-hour class follows an outline of 15-20 minutes of the lesson, 20-30 minutes of building, and the final 10-15 minutes for open play.  

Bricks 4 Kidz® classes and associated materials align with National and State STEM goals as well as support and promote all fundamental learning that our schools offer in the classroom.  We see our service as providing an outlet for children and families looking for those extra experiences.  Because all of our proprietary build challenges have various degrees of difficulty, we are able to offer benefits for a wide range of children across the age groups of 5 to 12 with ease.  Every one of our builds has numerous pieces of educational materials already created – from Teacher Guides to Historical Lesson Presentations to the Individual Model Plans in differing degrees of difficulty.  And especially for parents, we have contact files that can be automatically sent directly to your email address and present a summary of the specific item your child learned about in that day’s class – allowing you to engage in more detailed conversation with you child about what they are learning or even giving you an activity you and your child can do at home – rebuild the model of the day!
