Bricks 4 Kidz® – Tri-Cities/Mechanicsville  operates in accordance with the following policies and class rules.

OPERATIONAL POLICIES

Payment Policy

The fee associated with the event (i.e., Model building event, Camp, After-School Class, Field Trip) must be paid in full either prior to the start of the event or at the beginning of the event on the first day, unless documented arrangements were agreed prior to starting of event .  If the fee is not paid, the child will not be permitted to participate in the event.

Refund Policy

No refunds will be granted for no-show participants that had registered for an event (i.e., Model build, Camp, After-School Class, Field Trip, Workshop).  In the event, you need to cancel your child’s participation in one of our events prior to the start of the event, please send a message to [email protected] detailing your request and a refund will be issued.

Absences

Should your child be absent, call (804)691-4191 or send an email to [email protected] at least 30 minutes prior to the AM/PM class start time on the day of the absence. In the case that you cannot reach us directly when notifying us via phone, please leave a detailed message with your child’s first and last name.

Event Cancellation Policy

In the event Bricks 4 Kidz® needs to cancel an event (example, Weather conditions), all efforts will be made to reschedule the event.  For those instances when an event cannot be rescheduled, all pre-paid participants will be issued a full refund.

Bricks 4 Kidz reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment. Upon cancellation, a full refund will be made for all pre-paid participants.

Child Drop Off and Pick Up Policy (Sign In/Sign Out) 

All children are required to be dropped off and picked up by a parent/guardian.  At the time of drop off and pick up, the parent/guardian is required to sign in/sign out their child(ren).  PLEASE NOTE: showing a photo ID is required when picking up child(ren).  If a third party will be picking up your child(ren) on certain days of model building events, camp, classes, or field trips, please send in a written note stating the name of the individual that has permission to pick up your child(ren) and please make sure those persons know they must present a photo ID to do so.

Photography and Video Recording Policy

Bricks 4 Kidz® provides each parent/guardian a consent form seeking permission for staff to photograph and/or video recod event participants solely for use in Bricks 4 Kidz® brochures and program materials that are distributed both as printed document and on the internet. No payment will be made for use of these photographs and/or videos. Your child’s name would never be used by Bricks 4 Kidz® staff in connection with these images.

Medical Treatment Policy

If your child requires immediate medical services such as prescription medications or an emergency evaluation, he/she will be transported to the nearest medical center or hospital emergency unit. Payment for services will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian. Bricks 4 Kidz® staff at the event will contact you at the earliest possible time in the event of an emergency.

CLASS RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS

• Follow the teacher’s instructions
• Take good care of the LEGO® materials
• Respect the LEGO® creations of others
• Don’t take LEGO® bricks from others
• Clean up when you’re done

CAMP/EVENT/AFTER SCHOOL CONDUCT POLICY

Bricks 4 Kidz reserves the right to release, without refund of event fees, any camper whose behavior becomes unmanageable.  Intentional harm of any other persons or person’s property while a program (Model building event, camp, after-school class, field trip) is in session will NOT be tolerated; this will result in the camper’s IMMEDIATE termination from the program without refund of program fees.
