Registration & Enrollment
REGISTRATION & ENROLLMENT
REGISTER HERE! This applies to Summer Registration. To Register, click on the link to the left and fill out registration form online. Once registered, we will send you a payment link for a non-refundable deposit of $50 to hold and reserve your child’s space. Failure to make deposit payment by due date will forfeit your child’s spot. Final payment is due one week prior to the first day of camp. We accept check, cash, or credit cards. 10% Sibling discount available • Checks can be mailed to: Bricks 4 Kidz 720 Monroe St. Suite E-505, Hoboken, NJ 07030. Please write child’s name on check.
Before & After Care
BEFORE & AFTER CARE: There is no before or after care offered by Bricks 4 Kidz during the summer camps, please make arrangements to have your child/children picked up by dismissal. We have partnered with Step by Step (located on first floor of the Monroe Center), and if you need aftercare, we will walk your child/children down to them. Separate registration for after care is required.
Cancellation Policy & Refunds
CANCELLATION POLICY & REFUNDS: Following enrollment/registration, any notifications of withdrawal or cancellation must be received by June 1, 2018. $30 cancellation fee will apply. We understand that sometimes situations arise which require you to change your plans without prior notice, however, please understand that all the materials for the campers are ordered and purchased prior to the start of each camp, and instructors scheduled. Refunds or credits will not be offered or given for attending partial days or weeks, early picks ups or late drop offs.
Absences, Transfers & Cancellations
ABSENCES – There are no credits for missed camp days. We do not provide makeup camp days for any reason other than inclement weather. No exceptions.
TRANSFER POLICY: Changes to enrollment will be made based on camp availability and are subject to a $25 administrative fee.
CAMP CANCELLATION: We reserve the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment. Upon cancellation a full refund will be provided.
Check-in & Pick up
SIGN IN/SIGN OUT – Please be sure to sign your child/children in and out each day on our sign in/out sheet.
CHECK-IN & PICK UP – Please drop off your child/children between 8:55a and 9:10a each day, and you must pick up your child/children no later than 15 minutes after the camp session has ended. For any child not picked up after 15 minutes, there will be late charge fee of $15 per half hour or any part thereof, payable at the time of pick-up. If there is an emergency and no one on your list can pick up your child, the primary parent/guardian must contact Bricks 4 Kidz as soon as possible.
DISMISSAL POLICY: Authorized Parents/Caregivers must sign children in and out of programs. The only people that your child will be released to are those listed on your information form. All persons authorized to pick up students must be at least 16 years of age. If someone other than a parent will pick up your child, prior written notice is required. If there is an emergency and no one on your list can pick up your child, the primary parent/guardian must call the Bricks 4 Kidz® director, to allow another adult to pick up the child or send a signed note of authorization with that person.
Snack & Lunch
SNACK/LUNCH – For half day kids, please pack a non-perishable NUT–FREE snack and drink. For full day kids, please pack 2 NUT-FREE snacks, and a NUT-FREE lunch. Supervised lunch period is between 12:00p and 1:00p each day. Bricks 4 Kidz does not serve or provide snack or lunch. If your child has special food allergies/restrictions, please make sure to note them in the space provided on the registration form.
NUT-FREE POLICY – Due to severe nut allergies, all Bricks 4 Kidz programs are NUT FREE. This includes all nuts and any food containing nut products. For example, granola bars containing nuts, Nutella, peanut butter, Uncrustables, and candies containing nuts. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter.
CLASS CONDUCT & EXPULSION: We love kids, and work very hard at taking kids where they are and helping them have a fun, educational experience with Bricks 4 Kidz. Occasionally a child has to be reminded to “Be Safe”, “Be Respectful”, or “Be Responsible.” Usually it is simply a matter of redirection, and the child is back to having fun, learning, and building. We do not want to have to suspend or expel a child when they prevent other children from having a good experience at camp. We reserve the right to do so, to ensure a high quality level experience for our campers. We reserve the right to release, without refund of class fees, any child whose behavior becomes unmanageable. This action will not be taken without verbal and written warnings. No child will be allowed to intentionally physically harm any other persons or person’s property while registered in the program. We discourage children from bringing any electronic devices such as cell phones or video games to camp. All electronic devices are to remain off and put away while camp is in session. Bricks 4 Kidz® is NOT responsible for damages or loss of any personal property.
Outside Items & Take Home Models
OUTSIDE ITEMS – Please do not allow your kids to bring in any LEGO® bricks, pieces, or mini-figures, other toys, music players, DVD players, video games, tablets, trading cards, to camp. Please understand, bringing items from home can result in the item being lost or misplaced, and we are NOT responsible for any items brought from home. It also causes distractions while camp is in session. If these items are found, they will be taken away and returned to the parent/guardian at the end of the day. We understand that some parents send kids with cell phones – these however, must be kept in their back packs.
TAKE-HOME MODELS – Since we use our LEGO® supplies in classes and camps throughout the school year, students do not get to keep or take home, any models, projects or pieces. There will be take-home models, as well as other items, for certain camps for students enrolled in a full week of camp (Does not apply to single day attendees). All LEGO® items, books, pieces, kits, models, & games remain the property of Bricks 4 Kidz.®
Bricks 4 Kidz Team
STAFF – Our instructors are certified & substitute teachers and individuals who have a great interest and ability in teaching technology to students in an exciting way. Many instructors have taught classes with us in previous summers and/or assist in developing curriculum during the school year. Each instructor is trained in teaching specific lessons involving the software and technology products in the courses. Our staff will supervise the students throughout the day, including during snack and lunch breaks. Children:Staff ratio is 10:1. In addition, all instructors go through fingerprinting and criminal history background check.
OUTDOOR TIME – Due to the nature and structure of our camp, we do not have outdoor activities, however, for children enrolled in a full day session, we may take them outside, during the lunch period, after they’ve had lunch, and return before the start of the afternoon session. This is optional, and the children are not required to participate. We will stay within the Monroe Center compounds.
DAMAGES – Parent/Guardian will be held responsible for the cost/replacement of any Bricks 4 Kidz® equipment, furniture, fixture or property damaged by your child/children.

If your child is attending another camp or program in the Monroe Center we can walk them to the next location at the end of our session!

Bricks 4 Kidz camps engage students both educationally and creatively through hands-on building with traditional and technic LEGO® bricks and elements! Building projects may include standard and motorized models, creative design, group builds, mosaic pattern building, games and more.
All materials are supplied, and in some cases, allow students access to exclusive, specialized, and hard to find LEGO® products they might not otherwise be exposed to.

PRE-purchase this pass and get the flexibility to choose from multiple dates and themes based on your schedule & interests! ARCHITECTURE AROUND THE WORLD (Ages 6 & up) – AUGUST 6 – 10, 9a-12p
If you’ve ever gazed up at a skyscraper and wondered how these towering structures stay upright, or driven across a bridge and marveled at the engineering required to hold the weight of so many vehicles, or asked yourself “why does the Leaning Tower of Pisa lean?” then you’ll love this unit. We’ll explore the architecture and engineering fundamentals behind some well-known structures such as Dubai’s Burj Khalifa tower and San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. Put your building skills to the test as we transform common LEGO® Bricks into architectural wonders. Maybe you’ll be inspired to design your own amazing buildings!
BAT LEAGUE – Heroes & Villians (Ages 6 & up) – JULY 9 – 13, 9a-12p
Enter the dark city where a dangerous jokester and other evil villains wreak havoc. Thankfully there is a bat hero who comes out each night to fight against these evil-doers! The good guys will ride into action as campers build motorized models of the bat hero’s speedy vehicle and bat girl’s sleek Cycle. But keep the bat light searching for the evil jokester’s motorized low rider vehicle cruising through the city streets as well. Send the bat hero swinging on his grappling hook technic model from one skyscraper to the next as he fights crime with his trusty super sidekick. Campers will use their imaginations, building skills and crime-fighting passion in this thrilling camp of bat heroes and villains!

BRICK-A-PALOOZA – Best of Bricks (Ages 6 & up) – AUGUST 20 – 24, 9a-12p
Angry Birds, Minions, Teenage Ninja Turtles, Pirates, Arcade & App Games, Amusement Park Rides, Space Exploration – Whew!! What is the camp about? A mixture of popular themes all rolled up in one fabulous week of building, games and throwbacks!
BRICK CITY ENGINEERS (Ages 6 & up) – JULY 16 – 20, 1p-4p
We built this city with bricks & things! There are many different types of engineering jobs, and building is one of the most fun! What would a city be without the architects and engineers who come up with the ideas, plans and building skills to make it all come together? Campers will put their engineering and architecture skills to work as they build city themed models using LEGO® Bricks. The sky’s the limit when campers are challenged to use their own ideas and skills to build a skyscraper taller than their heads! They’ll have a blast using custom-built cars to move the people of the city all around town – brick by brick!
GALAXY FAR AWAY – Star Wars Themed (Ages 6 & up) – AUGUST 13 – 17, 9a-12p
The Force will be strong with your child in this BRAND NEW Star Wars: The Last Jedi LEGO® Camp! Campers will sharpen their Jedi mind tricks as they build the popular characters, vehicles, and space gear out of LEGO® bricks from the popular STAR WARS franchise! Help identify the dark side by building a Kylo Ren LEGO® mosaic, fight with the rebellion using Chewbacca’s LEGO® bowcaster and a Jedi light saber, or stop the First Order from galaxy domination in your LEGO® wing-fighter. Anything is possible with a little imagination, the use of the Force, and a LOT of LEGO® Jedi magic! Which side will you choose!?!

GAMERS CAMP (Ages 6 & up) – JULY 2, 5 & 6, 1p-4p (No Class on July 3 & 4)
Jump into the world of classic arcade and video games! Eat flashing dots, collect coins and rings, avoid getting killed by enemies…there are so many obstacles to overcome and levels to beat! People today have games with graphic animations and three dimensional capabilities. Let’s take it back to when it all started, the 1980’s! That was the time of 8-bit and later 16-bit technology, which gave these old games their classic appearance. Campers will build the famous plumber brothers, a Brick Eater, a jumping hedgehog, alien invaders, and more! Can you guess which classic game each model represents?

JURASSIC WORLD – Kingdom of Fallen Bricks (Ages 6 & up) – JUNE 25 – 29, 9a-12p
Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Put on your hiking boots and camouflage…you’re about to enter Jurassic Brick Land! Campers will build a world that comes to life with gentle Brontosaurus, ferocious Velociraptor, terrifying T.Rex, and more. We’ll learn about amazing dinosaurs that lived during the Jurassic period, and other extinct, prehistoric animals that roamed the earth and swam the seas during that era and millions of years later. Show us your building skills using our specialized project kits! Come learn, build and play at Jurassic Brick Land camp!

Making it move is the name of the game at this exciting camp! Each day, campers will use fascinating and challenging LEGO components to create dynamic vehicles, inventions, machines and more. As they enjoy the fun of building, campers will understand the basic working principles of many ingenious devices that are part of our everyday lives. Campers will also learn how to magnify, diminish and redirect force to move objects at different speeds and in different directions. This camp is loads of fun and learning for budding builders. This fun, action-packed week combines real life skills with real kid fun!

Bring LEGO® Bricks to life with coding! The ability to code is a key component of technology education today. Our coding programs will teach students important strategies to enhance their logic and problem-solving skills, as well as help them work toward becoming technological innovators of tomorrow. Our programs offer skill level progression of coding concepts as students advance through multiple levels from beginner through advanced. Students will build models with LEGO® elements, then control their models with the codes they write.

Students will develop a range of coding and problem-solving skills as they create fun video games. Game designers will think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively to create various video games. Each Game Design unit includes a themed mini-model built with LEGO® Bricks that will be the main character of all of the games. Each game progressively teaches more advanced capabilities within the video game design software. Students will be proud and excited to actually play their very own completed video games.

Create your own characters, develop story lines and incorporate sets designed with LEGO® Bricks! After careful planning, campers will snap pictures and upload them utilizing a software program to create their very own, one of a kind comic book. This camp day is sure to take your imagination to the next level.
