2017 – 2018 Engineering Class Lineups:

SEPT/OCT:  Bricks 4 Kidz Rev Your Engines Rev your engines! Get ready, get set, let’s go!  These wheels are ready to roll! Students will use LEGO® bricks, axles, pulleys, gears, motors and more to build a variety of models on wheels.  Kids will build some fun interactive models, like our fire engine, and car, all using LEGO bricks, motors and battery packs.

OCT/NOV:  Bricks 4 Kidz Intriguing Inventions
Have you ever wondered how common inventions were thought up?  Are you curious about how what problem from the past that they solved?  Or, what was it like, before the invention solved a problem? In intriguing inventions, kids will learn about and build common inventions, and discover some intriguing facts about each build, as we learn and build with LEGO bricks, motors and battery packs.

NOV/DEC:  Bricks 4 Kidz Inspector Gadget’s Gizmos
Join us as we explore various gizmos that Inspector Gadget might be proud of as we build interactive Bricks 4 Kidz® models. This unit is all about the fun of doing something with what you’ve built. See the illusions from the optical spinner. Have fun trying to get 3 in a row, with the 3 in a row game model. Join us, as we build with LEGO bricks, motors and battery packs.

JAN/FEB: Bricks 4 Kidz Professor Gizmo’s Gadgets
Join us as we explore various gadgets that Professor Gizmo might be proud of as we build interactive Bricks 4 Kidz® models. This unit is all about the fun of doing something with what you’ve built.  Have fun building and experimenting with the Ping Pong Popper, or our wacky Crazy Gear Machine. Join us, as we build with LEGO bricks, motors and battery packs.

FEB/MAR: Bricks 4 Kidz Kings & Knights
Gather your barbarians, kings and knights!  It’s time for us to explore middle age kingdoms, and the Kings court. Build fun stuff using LEGO ® bricks, motors, and battery packs that were used by many Kingdoms in medieval times.  Come join us for the fun!

MAR/APR: Bricks 4 Kidz Nintendo Games Galore
Jump into the world of classic arcade and video games with Nintendo Games Galore. Kids will build game characters that eat flashing dots, collect coins and rings, and avoid getting killed by enemies while using LEGO bricks, motors and battery packs.  Students will get to learn and explore interesting topics such as gaming engineering, software development, and how games are developed.

APR/MAY: Bricks 4 Kidz Brick Critters***
What’s a critter? Well, a living creature; such as an animal.  But the critters, that we will be building aren’t exactly living, so we call them Brick critters, because they are made with LEGO bricks.  BUT, they are cool replication of the real thing. So, join us as we learn about and build fun, interesting and working Brick Critters that you see in everyday life, using LEGO bricks, motors, and battery packs.

MAY/JUNE:  Bricks 4 Kidz Batman League***
Come have fun as we build the coolest rides from the caped crusader Batman! He wasn’t born with Superpowers but an ingenious Engineering mind was responsible for his Superhero gadgets. So, come build with us, as we build cool gadgets and cool batman “rides”using LEGO bricks, motors and battery packs, as we become SUPER Engineers!

SESSION 1 Robotics:  Robotic Vehicles & Machines (6 WEEKS)
ALL NEW Bricks 4 Kidz Robotics w LEGO Bricks: Let’s Make Robots! A fun, engaging and challenging 6 week class!  Robotics bridges the physical world, represented by LEGO® models, and the virtual world of computers and programming software, providing a hands-on, minds-on learning experience that actively involves young students in their own learning process. Students will build and program 6 different robotic vehicles, and other machines. Students who complete BOTH Jr Robotics Sessions (12 weeks) will receive a completion certificate and Robotics Master Builder Level Designation.

SESSION 2 Robotics:  Robotic Flying Machines & Animals (6 WEEKS)
ALL NEW Bricks 4 Kidz Robotics w LEGO Bricks: Let’s Make Robots! A fun, engaging and challenging 6 week class! Robotics bridges the physical world, represented by LEGO® models, and the virtual world of computers and programming software, providing a hands-on, minds-on learning experience that actively involves young students in their own learning process.
