Bricks 4 Kidz – Kentucky – Lexington – Georgetown

Bricks 4 Kidz classes provide an extraordinary atmosphere for children ages 3-13+, where we learn, we build, we play… with LEGO® Bricks. Programs are built around our proprietary model plans, designed by engineers and architects, with exciting themes such as space, construction, and amusement parks. Our specially designed project kits and theme-based models provide the building blocks for the Bricks 4 Kidz approach to educational play. At Bricks 4 Kidz, we believe that kids learn best through activities that engage their curiosity and creativity.
Our programs provide a safe, relaxed learning environment where initiative is invited and self-expression is celebrated. Model building provides opportunities for problem-solving and helps kids develop an appreciation for how things work. All this takes place while kids are having fun and socializing in a non-competitive atmosphere.
GOALS
  • Introduce engineering and architecture principles

Mark your calendars for the annual UK E-day!!

UK Lexmark E-Day 2018Feb 24, 9:00amUniversity of Kentucky College of EngineeringEngineers Day, or E-Day, is a celebration of everything engineering has to offer. From building bridges to discovering new medications to writing the software that powers our cell phones, engineers and computer scientists do the things that make our 21st-century world work.

2018’s E-Day celebration at the University of Kentucky in Lexington is on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST. E-Day comes at the end of Engineers Week, an annual event sponsored by a coalition of more than 100 professional societies, major corporations and government agencies dedicated to promoting math and science literacy and ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce.

E-Day is a “come and go” type event. Most activities do not a have start time, although a few contests (Egg Drop come to mind) will have a definitive time for judging. Most people find that they can’t make it around to every exhibit and contest because we have so many, so it is advisable to get here close to 9 am. We also have a mobile app to help you plan your day ahead of time and navigate our maze of exhibits. It is available as a FREE DOWNLOAD in the App Stores for both iOS and Android.

Since 1991, Lexmark has been a recognized and lauded leader in imaging and output solutions that help people and organizations better manage their information, improve processes and reduce their costs. We are proud to have our event sponsored by a Lexington-based global company that is dedicated to educational excellence, especially in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math. Thank you, Lexmark!
