Brickapalooza – Summer Pre-View Camp (June 4-8)

We’ve combined the best of the best of all your child’s favorite themes and characters during Brickapalooza camp including Star Wars, Super Heroes, Ninjago, Minecraft and Pokémon to name a few.  Kids will love to design and build their own special creations incorporating their favorite LEGO® themed models.  Each day, campers will use fascinating and challenging LEGO components to create dynamic vehicles, inventions, machines and more based on their own unique interests.  This camp is loads of fun and learning for budding builders that like to have their hands into a little of everything at once.

 

Minecraft Camp (morning, June 11-15)

Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. At night monsters come out, make sure to build a shelter before that happens.  Experience the world of Minecraft with LEGO® bricks in this fun camp.  Kids will start by crafting their shelters and some of the mobs, critters and tools using LEGO® bricks.  Students will face new challenges each day, building models and crafting key elements from the popular Minecraft game.

Pokémon & Card Trading Camp (afternoon, June 11-15)

Get ready for an adventure in the world of Pokémon®!  Capture wild Pokémon® creatures and train them for battle.  Improve your accuracy and power as you learn new moves and use special abilities.  Tap into your inner engineer as we build Dratini, Pikachu, Poké Balls, and more.  Bring your own Pokémon® trading cards if you wish to play and trade at the end of each day.  Show off your skills as you battle for power in your journey through the Pokémon® universe. “Galaxy Far Away” Space Camp (mornings, June 18-22)

Join us on an adventurous journey through space! Build the Redstone Rocket to blast through the atmosphere into a realm that is truly out of this world. Travel to a galaxy far far away where you can build classic brick and motorized models that represent characters and spacecraft from your favorite popular space movie. Come experience this stellar journey to a galaxy far away!

 

Jurassic Brick Land Camp (afternoon, June 18-22)

Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Put on your hiking boots and camouflage…you’re about to enter Jurassic Brick Land! Campers will build a world that comes to life with gentle Brontosaurus, ferocious Velociraptor, terrifying T.Rex, and more. We’ll learn about amazing dinosaurs that lived during the Jurassic period, and other extinct, prehistoric animals that roamed the earth and swam the seas during that era and millions of years later. Show us your building skills using our specialized project kits! Come learn, build and play at Jurassic Brick Land camp!

Jr. Robotics WeDo Camp AGES: 7-13 (mornings, June 25-29)

How would you like to turn your next LEGO® creation into a robot, programmed to do exactly what you tell it to do?  The Bricks 4 Kidz new Junior Robotics camp offers all the fun of building with LEGO® bricks, PLUS the challenge of computer programming! Using drag-and-drop icon-based software, WeDo 2 software provides an introduction into the world of computer-programming and robotics that will equip children to succeed in a technology-based marketplace.  This fun, action-packed week combines real-life skills with real-kid fun!

Chain Reactions Camp AGES 7-13 (afternoons, June 25-29)

Join us for the ultimate STEAM summer camp, Chain Reactions!  During Chain Reactions camp campers will build Rube Goldberg machine using LEGO® brick, pulleys, gears and axles as well as everyday items to do something simple in a very complicated way that is not necessary.  Be sure to search the internet prior to camp to gather ideas for your ultimate chain reaction.  Feel free to bring in specific items you would like to incorporate in your project.

BRICK City Engineers (mornings, July 9-13)

Let’s build a CITY! There are many different types of engineering jobs, and building is one of the most fun! What would a city be without the architects and engineers who come up with the ideas, plans and building skills to make it all come together? Campers will put their engineering and architecture skills to work as they build city themed models using LEGO® Bricks. The sky’s the limit when campers are challenged to use their own ideas and skills to build a skyscraper taller than their heads! They’ll have a blast using custom-built cars to move the people of the city all around town – brick by brick! What an accomplishment to be able to proudly exclaim “We built this BRICK City!”

 

Extreme Expedition Camp (afternoon, July 9-13)

Form a team to face the challenge of our extreme expedition camp.  Search the globe for bricks and other resources needed to construct a base in the Himalayan Mountains and complete your expedition. Encounter Worst Case Scenario survival challenges, face forces of nature, and construct transportation equipment to bring your team together from around the globe.  Do you have what it takes to face extreme brick adventures?  Each camper will earn parts upon the completion of the daily challenge to a mystery build that they will take home at the end of the week!

Wizards & Muggle Camp (mornings, July 16-20)

Spend time with us this summer visiting the Wizarding World by building incredible motorized models such as the Phoenix, the Brickwarts Express, giant spiders, your favorite wizard, his magical owl and more!  Start off the week sorted into one of the four houses and learn about the incredible things in the wizard world.  We will create fun crafts each day such as wand making & potions.  Join us as we explore the amazing world of building with LEGO® bricks.  All campers will take home a custom minifigure equipped with it’s own Nimbus 3000.

 

DC vs Marvel Super Hero Academy Camp (afternoon, July 16-20)

Join Bricks 4 Kidz for a week building Super Heroes with LEGO® Bricks. Explore all the caped crusaders and discover their super powers. Create a fantasy world and protect it against all the evil arch enemies with custom contraptions made with LEGO® Bricks. At the end of the week, all SUPER HERO CAMPERS will go home with a custom caped mini figure!

Bat League: Heroes & Villains (Morning,July 23-27)

Enter the dark city where a dangerous jokester and other evil villains wreak havoc. Thankfully there is a bat hero who comes out each night to fight against these evil-doers! The good guys will ride into action as campers build motorized models of the bat hero’s speedy vehicle and bat girl’s sleek Cycle. But keep the bat light searching for the evil jokester’s motorized low rider vehicle cruising through the city streets as well. Send the bat hero swinging on his grappling hook technic model from one skyscraper to the next as he fights crime with his trusty super sidekick. Campers will use their imaginations, building skills and crime-fighting passion in this thrilling camp of bat heroes and villains!

 

Extreme Ninjas Camp (Afternoon, July 23-27)

Ninjas…GO! There is a new ninja on the block, and he’s ready to fight to defend his honor and establish peace! The team of 5 ninjas all have their own important role to play in carrying on the legacy of spectacular ninja skill, self-discipline, courage and honor. Join the team by using LEGO® bricks, technic pieces, gears and motors to build the ninja domain of temples, dragons, awesome motorized ninja vehicles, ninja spinning machines, and more! Campers will use their imaginations and creativity to dive into the extreme world of ninjas!

 

Comic Creator Camp: Bricks, Camera….COMIC Action! AGES 7-13 (mornings, July 30- Aug 3)

Explore the artistic form of comic book design as you learn to create your personalized edition. Create your own characters, develop story lines and incorporate pictures of actual sets, all designed with LEGO® Bricks! After creating various scenes, campers will snap pictures and upload them, utilizing a software program to create their very own, one of a kind comic book. Along with honing your story telling skills, this camp is sure to take your imagination to the next level. At the end of the week, campers will be provided with a digital copy of the comic book they created. So, how’s that for comic relief?

Video Game Design Camp AGES 7-13 (afternoon, July 30-Aug 3)

Students will develop a range of coding and problem-solving skills as they create fun video games. Game designers will think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively to create various video games. Each Game Design unit includes a themed mini-model built with LEGO® Bricks that will be the main character of all of the games. Each game progressively teaches more advanced capabilities within the video game design software. Students will be proud and excited to actually play their very own completed video games.

 


2018 Summer Camp Schedule, Camps held at Terre Haute Children’s Museum

B4K camps are held at the children’s Museum from 1-5pm.  Would you like to stay all day?  Register for the Children’s Museum morning camp session, pack a lunch for a supervised break and join B4K for the afternoon without leaving the museum!  Bricks 4 Kidz camps are $125/week.  Take advantage of the early bird special now thru May 1st.

Ticket to Ride Carnival Camp (afternoon 1-5pm, June 25-29)

Get your ticket to ride at Bricks 4 Kidz very own Amusement Park!  Campers will build a new ride each day, learning how to make things spin, roll, turn and rock.  Then they will take what they have learned to design their own thrills and challenges.   Motorized models maximize the action and the fun. Each camp day includes carnival- themed games, group challenges, model-building and more.

Sports Spectacular (afternoon 1-5pm, July 16-20)

Calling all sports fans… on your mark, get set, build!  Join us this summer with cool models of sports from cycling to soccer, basketball to gymnastics. Take a break from the heat and compete indoors to set your own Brick Olympic records with our exciting sports-themed challenges! We’ll post the winners on our own “Medal Tally” board and award winners with Bricks 4 Kidz medals.

 CAMPS (Ages 5-12)

During school breaks, send your child to a Bricks 4 Kidz camp where we engage children both educationally and creatively through hands-on building with traditional and technic LEGO® bricks! Activities may include standard and motorized models, creative free play, group builds, mosiac pattern making, games and more.

* New for 2018 -Bricks 4 Kidz Camps are held at Indiana State University in conjunction with ISU Community of the Arts.  Camps are also held at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum.

 

Camps are offered throughout the year and are available in either 1/2 day or full day  week-long formats. All materials are supplied, and in some cases, allow students’ access to expensive, specialized and hard to find LEGO® products and software they might not otherwise be exposed to.

Standard and motorized builds vary in the morning and afternoon camps.

Lunch-time supervision is provided, free of charge, when you register your child in the morning and afternoon camp at the same location.

  • Most camps are appropriate for ages 5-12
  • Jr. Robotics, Chain Reactions, Comic Creator and Stop Motion are appropriate for ages 7+
