BRICKS 4 KIDZ – California – Sunnyvale – Cupertino – Santa Clara – San Jose

Our programs provide an extraordinary atmosphere for students to build unique creations, play games, and have loads of fun using LEGO® bricks. The activities are designed to trigger young children’s lively imaginations and build their self-confidence.

Designed and created by teachers, architects and engineering professionals, our hands-on curriculum introduces children  age 3-13 to concepts of engineering, architecture and mechanics using LEGO® bricks.  Lessons from math, science, language arts, and social studies are integrated and discussed.  Themes such as Transportation, Space, Inventions, Robotics and more provide variety and ensure a high level of interest and enthusiasm amongst our students.  The three different age groups below will help you decide which programs are most suitable for your child’s learning.

Little Builders (Ages 3 – 4)

Kids will learn interesting facts about real world objects and animals in these interactive lessons which reinforce counting, patterning, spatial awareness and fine motor skills. Each week will focus on a different letter and will include lots of time for building as well as some learning time and a fingerplay or short story related to what is being built.

Early Engineers (Ages 5+)

Kids will combine learning and fun as we engage them in building with traditional bricks and/or motorized technic Lego.  Model themes may include Famous Buildings, Transportation, Construction and Inventions.  Teachers will introduce architectural and engineering concepts of scale, torque, friction and gear ratio in these interactive hands on classes.

Advancing Engineers (Ages 7+)

Kids interested in the world of computer programming are introduced to the basics in our Jr. Robotics program and can further their knowledge and understanding in our Mindstorms classes or camps (ages 9+) which offer open-ended challenges for kids to complete.  For those looking to develop and practice story-writing and production, our Stop Motion Movie Making programs help bring their stories to life!  Advancing Engineers’ classes offer motorized builds that incorporate double the types of pieces which provides an excellent opportunity for increased  learning and fun! Previous B4K classes or building with Technic LEGO® is recommended.
