Bricks4Kidz® Camps

Children don’t have to stop learning and exploring just because school is out; our camps offer a great opportunity for children to explore and use their creative minds.  Camps generally run during the summer and over spring break, but we do offer one-day camps during teacher in-service days, school holidays, winter break and even snow-days.

 

Our week long summer camps are either half day or full day and run Mon-Fri; they are open to children ages 5 and up (2 hour camps for younger children are also available – see below).  Each day is packed with model building, creative sessions and fun.  Prices for each camp varies and can be found on the enrollment page.  Full day camps incorporate both the morning and afternoon camps with time for lunch in-between (food is not provided).

 *Early drop-off and late pick-up are available for an additional cost and must be coordinated with Bricks4Kidz prior to the camp start date.

 

Summer Camp Descriptions

 

Amusement Park – Ages 5+

Get your ticket to ride at Bricks 4 Kidz® very own LEGO® Amusement Park!  Campers will build a new ride each day, learning how to make things spin, roll, turn and rock.  Then they will take what they have learned to design their own thrills and challenges.   Motorized models maximize the action and the fun.  Each camp day includes carnival-themed games, group challenges, model-building and more.

 

 Animal Brickology Camp– Ages 5+

If you are facinated by the weird but true world of animals, then this camp is for you.  Spend the week discovering the zany biology of our animal friends.  Each day we’ll explore fascinating facts about the animal kingdom, focusing on a “creature of the day”.  You will build two different animal models each day and complete your very own biology journal with crazy and cool facts you learn.  You will leave with a degree as a certified Brickologist. 

 

Bricks 4 Girlz Camp – Ages 5+

Grab your friends and come hang out with us for a girls-only week of crafting and creating with LEGO(R) Bricks.  Introduce your friends to our “Friends” as we get to know LEGO(R) brand’s newest line of girl-themed models.  Build adorable houses, cafes and more for a brand new cast of female characters including Olivia and all her friends.  We’ll do lots of other unique things with bricks, from jewelry making to brick art and origami, with a take-home project each day.  And don’t worry…there are “NO BOYS ALLOWED”!!  Because this camp is all about girls! 

 

Star Wars^(TM) Space Adventures Camp – Ages 5+

Inspired by NASA and Star Wars^TM, our Space Adventures Camp is packed full of models that will make your imagination blast off!  Each day, campers will learn about real-life space exploration and build models related to the NASA space program.  In addition, the day includes LEGO® Star Wars theme models, group games and challenges, LEGO® Star Wars theme video games, and more.  Bricks 4 Kidz® Space Adventure camp provides the spark for imagination and creativity to take off on an adventure that’s out of this world!

 

Bricks 4 Kidz Inventors Camp – Ages 5+

Have you ever seen some of the LEGO® Creations at LEGO Land or the LEGO Store and wondered “How did they do that?”.  Well in this camp you will learn what it takes to become a LEGO Master Builder.  This camp is all about building.  Each day we will cover a new LEGO design element that you can incorporate into your own creation.  Also, we will learn how to make your LEGO Creations roll, crawl and walk; and how to make the impossible sphere out of LEGO Bricks (something most people can’t do and is required for any Master Builder).  So if you would rather build with LEGO Bricks than eat or sleep, then this camp will be for you – PLEASE ONLY SERIOUS LEGO BUILDERS SHOULD ATTEND!!!!  Each attende will receive a design book from Sean Kenney (a real Master Builder).

 

 Ninjago Training Camp – Ages 5+

Learn the ancient art of Ninjago in this fun filled and action packed Bricks 4 Kidz camp.  Complete with ninja training exercises from real martial artists and lots of Spinjitzu battles.  Your little warrior will have a blast as we build with LEGO Ninjago sets and learn the Four Paths on your way to recovering the Golden Weapons. 

 

Extreme Expedition Camp – Ages 5+

Form a team to face the challenge of our extreme adventure camp.  Search the globe for bricks and other resources needed to construct a secret base and complete your expedition.  You will encounter worst case survival challenges, face forces of nature and have to quickly build transportation equipment to bring your team together from around the world.  A great camp for those kids who love a good adventure…and love to use their creativity to build.

 

Brick Olympics Camp – Ages 5+

Calling all sports fans…on your mark, get set, BUILD!!!  Celebtrate the 2012 Summer Olympics with cool models of sports from cycling to soccer, basketball to gymnastics.  Take a break from the heat and compete indoors to set your own Brick Olympic records with our exciting sports-themed challenges.  Go for the Gold this week. 

 

Junior Robotics – Ages 7+

How would you like to turn your next LEGO® creation into a robot, programmed to do exactly what you tell it to do?  The Bricks 4 Kidz® new Junior Robotics camp offers all the fun of building with LEGO® bricks, PLUS the challenge of computer programming!   Using drag-and-drop icon-based software, WeDo software provides an introduction into the world of computer-programming and robotics that will equip children to succeed in a technology-based marketplace.  This fun, action-packed week combines real-life skills with real-kid fun!

 

Advanced Robotics – Ages 10+

The hottest selling LEGO® brand, Mindstorms combines classic LEGO® building with the world of robotics, using motors, sensors and software.  You’ll learn how to design and program your LEGO® ‘bots that can perform all kinds of tasks!  Mindstorm software lets you place icons in sequence to design the commands you want.  It’s easy to learn and teaches basic programming logic.  This camp is a fun and challenging introduction to the world of robotics for the advanced LEGO® enthusiast!

 

Movie Making Camp – Ages 7+

Light, cameras, LEGO® action!  Use LEGO® bricks to tell YOUR story, complete with music, special effects and all your favorite LEGO® mini-figure characters!  In this unique and creative camp, students will plan, script, stage, shoot, and produce their own mini-movie.  Working as a team, students will use LEGO® components to build the set and props, then shoot their movie using a digital camera.  Teams will use movie-making software to add special effects, titles, credits and more.  When the movie is complete, campers will impress friends and family with a screening party on the last day of camp.  Don’t miss your chance to be in the movies!

 

Advanced Movie Making – Ages 11+

All the fun of movie making camp, but with longer movies and more special effects!

 

Preschool Camps

Our preschool camps are designed specifically for your small builder (ages 3-5).  Using LEGO® Duplo® bricks each lesson will cover a different letter of the alphabet…along with shapes, colors, counting and a bunch of fun facts about animals, buildings, farms, trains, vehicles, etc.  There is lots of free play built in as well, so your child will never get bored.  Camps run weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00AM – 12:00PM.  Parents sign-up per week, cost per child is $60/week.  Parents are welcome to stay, but not required.  For security reasons, the parent that drops the child off will need to be the same person who picks them up.

Cancellation Policy: Any camp registration cancelled 1 week before the start date is subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
