Summer Camps - 2013
ALL CAMPS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FOR REGISTRATION.
Imagination Unlimited: Kids have loads of fun (and learn a bunch!) as they use LEGO® bricks to explore the world of engineering, architecture, robotics and animation movie-making in an open, friendly and team-based environment. Bricks 4 Kidz® camps keep the pace fast and varied with guided projects and challenges as well as time for free-play, so the kids are always having fun. Camp activities are specially designed for kids ages 5-13, built around themes kids love, like Superheroes, Motor Madness, Robotics and more. Screened, trained Bricks 4 Kidz® staff provide friendly, qualified supervision for your children, so you can rest assured they are safe and happy.

Children’s Camp Sampler Spectacular: Mad Science/Bricks 4 Kidz/Zumbatomic June 26th, 27th & 28th (8:45 am – 11:50 am) (Ages 4 – 12)
This camp is specially designed to incorporate the most popular Community Education kid’s classes into a half-day action-packed fun camp! Over the course of three days, your camper will rotate through these three activities each day. They will enjoy hands-on science experimenting with Mad Science of Iowa while learn principles and methods of engineering and architecture with Bricks 4 Kidz and move and groove with many different genres of music, game play and basic routine dancing in Zumbatomic. You’ll feel great knowing your kids are in a safe, enriching environment while providing them the opportunity to try something new! This camp is open to children ages 4-12 and they will be grouped with their peers so each activity will be catered to the appropriate age group.
Space Spectacular July 22 – 26 (2:00pm – 4:00pm) (Ages 6 -10)_
Our Space Adventures Camp is packed full of models that will make your imagination blast off! Each day, campers will learn about real-life space exploration and build models related to space programs. Bricks 4 Kidz space adventures camp provides the spark for imagination and creativity to take off on an adventure that’s out of this world. (All campers take home a mini-figure at the end of the week)

Junior Robotics: June 24 – June 28 (1:00pm – 4:00pm) (Ages 5 – 7)_
How would you like to create with Lego® Bricks, and program your creation with a laptop or netbook? The Bricks 4 Kidz® Junior Robotics camp offers all the building fun with Lego® Bricks, plus the challenges of computer programming. Using the WeDo software with drag and drop icons we offer an introduction into the world of computer-programming in an action packed week of fun with Lego’s®. (All campers take home a mini-figure at the end of the week)
Stop Motion Animation Movie Making: July 22 – 26 9:00am – Noon (Ages 8 – 13)
Lights, cameras, Lego® action! Use Lego® bricks to tell your story complete with music, and special effects. In this unique and creative camp, students will plan, script, stage, shoot, and produce their own mini-stop motion animation movie. Working in teams, students will use Lego® components to build the set and props, and then shoot their movie using a camera. The teams will then use movie making software to add special effects, titles, credits and more. The last day of camp students will have a screening to impress their family and friends. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to be your own movie producer! All students will take home a mini-figure, and certificate. Their movie will be mailed to them on a DVD for enjoyment at home on their laptops or computers.
Super Hero Academy: August 5 – August 9 (1:00pm – 4:00pm) (Ages 6 plus)
Join Bricks 4 Kidz for a week building Super Heroes with LEGO® bricks. Explore the caped crusaders and discover their super powers. Create a fantasy world and protect it against all the evil arch enemies with custom contraptions made with LEGO® bricks. This camp is not affiliated with Marvel Comics. (All campers take home a mini-figure at the end of the week)

Bricks 4 Kidz Zoologist Camp: July 15 – July 19 (9:00am – Noon) (Ages 6 plus
Are you fascinated by the weird but true, wild and wacky, gross and yucky this is the camp for you. Spend the week discovering the zany biology of our animal friends. Each day we’ll explore fascinating facts about the animal kingdom. Build a different animal model each day and fill your “Animal Zoologist” booklet with the crazy and cool facts you learn. (All camps take home a mini-figure at the end of the week)
Amusement Park Rides: August 5 – August 9 (9:00am – Noon) (Ages 6 plus)
Get your ticket to ride at Bricks 4 Kidz® very own Amusement Park! Campers will build a new ride each day, learning how to make things spin, roll, turn and rock. Motorized models maximize the action and fun. (All camps take home a mini-figure at the end of the week)

Motor Madness: July 29 – August 2 9:00am – Noon (Ages 6 plus)
Making it move is the name of the game at this exciting camp! Kids will love to see the Lego creations in motion using Lego® wireless remote controls. Each day, campers will create fascinating and challenging models from vehicles, to inventions, to simple machines and more. This camp is loads of fun and learning for budding builders.
