What are Bricks 4 Kidz® Classes and camps?

Bricks 4 Kidz® offers creative and challenging STEM classes using LEGO®  bricks, motors, robotics and remote controls.  We provide a unique learning environment where qualified teachers inspire imagination  and invention.  We make learning fun.  Students work from our custom Bricks4kidz kits and do not take home the models that they build.

How do I sign my child up for a Bricks 4 Kidz® class?

Parents can easily register their child online. Or, you can call us at 219-316-4470 and we will take registration information over the phone.

What is your cancellation policy?

If necessary, parents can cancel their child’s enrollment in one of our programs. Unfortunately however, we do not offer refunds, but we may be able to give a credit for a future class or camp if greater than 48 hours notice is given.  We reserve the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment.  If we cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, a full refund will be made less classes already completed.  We are not currently able to offer make up classes at this time.

How can I pay for a Bricks 4 Kidz® class?

The easiest way to pay is through our secure, online payment system at the following link https://my.bricks4kidz.com/index.php?action=enrolling&record=343 or to call and make payment over the phone.  Payment is due at the time of registration.  We do not accept cash or checks.

Do you offer a refund or credit if my child will no longer be attending a session or my child missed a class?

Bricks 4 Kidz® does not  refund  class fees for a session that has already started and absences are forfeited.  No credit will be issued for a missed class due to illness, forgetting to attend, vacations, etc. If the class is cancelled for any reason, including school closures, we will make every effort to reschedule the class.  If class can not be rescheduled, a credit will be issued for a future class, camp or program.  To use this credit, you must send an email requesting that the credit be added to the new program or call us. In the event that your child enrolls in a program after the initial start date and misses the first class, we may be able to prorate your child’s fees. Please contact us for more information.

Does Bricks 4 Kidz® require their teachers to undergo background checks?

Yes. Every teacher must meet state police background check requirements in order to teach Bricks 4 Kidz® classes.

What are the rules regarding class conduct?

Bricks 4 Kidz® reserves the right to release, without refund of program fees, any child whose behavior becomes unmanageable. This action will not be taken without verbal and written warnings. No children will be allowed to intentionally physically harm any other persons or person’s property while class is in session. Bricks 4 Kidz highly discourages students from bringing any personal LEGO® Bricks such as mini-figures or personal LEGO® models to classes. Bricks 4 Kidz is NOT responsible for damages or loss of any personal property while at a class.

What is your dismissal policy?

The only people that your child will be released to are those listed on your information form. All persons authorized to pick up students must be at least 16 years of age. If someone other than a parent will pick up your child, please give us prior written notice. If there is an emergency and no one on your list can pick up your child, the primary parent/guardian must call the Bricks 4 Kidz office to allow another adult to pick up the child or send a signed note of authorization with that person.

What ages does Bricks 4 Kidz serve?

Bricks4Kidz classes are for children 4-14 Our general curriculum is designed for elementary aged children (5-12 years old). However, we also offer more advanced classes (Advanced Robotics/Stop Motion Animation) that students up to age 14 can enjoy and are challenged by.  We also have a preschool curriculum for 4 and 5 years old that uses Duplo Bricks.

What if classes are too easy or too difficult for my child?

Within each elementary class or program, we have models with varying levels of difficulty.  So even though all students in a class may be building a satellite, for example, some will use the easier model and some the more challenging model, depending on their skill level. Since children work in pairs, they are able to work together along with the teacher’s guidance, through any difficult parts of the model build they may encounter.

How can I find out if after-school classes are offered at my child’s school?

Our classes are listed on our website under ‘view classes’ and are constantly updated on a weekly basis.  If you do not see your school listed and are interested in having the program at your school, please contact us: [email protected] or 219-316-4470.  Often it is as simple as a discussion with the school principle.
