Bricks 4 Kidz® Montreal  is excited to offer SPRING and Summer Camps where kids have loads of fun and learn a bunch! Using specially-designed Bricks 4 Kidz® model plans with fascinating and unusual LEGO® components as well as motors and remote controls, children will explore the world of science, technology, engineering and architecture in an open, friendly and team-based environment. Our challenging and engrossing programs in Robotics, Spike Prime and Coding with Scratch 3 keep older children engaged and proud of their achievements.  Our Arts and Crafts components have been intensified to fulfill a creative balance.  Bricks 4 Kidz® camps keep the pace fast and varied with guided projects and LEGO® games and challenges galore. Excursions are back! Bowling! Mini Golf! Swimming! Museums! Hydroponics at Concordia Greenhouse! Jean-Drapeau Parc! Soccer! Basketball! Waterballoons!

Time:  8:00 am- 9:00 am  Drop- off.  Camp time 9:00 am-4:00 pm, Late pick-up until 5:30   at an additional cost of $10/day/child; $15/day/family.

Prices:  STEAM PROGRAM Bricks 4 Kidz – $290/week taxes included. 

               Robotics & Spike Prime- $320/week taxes included.    

               Coding & Video Game Design- $320/week taxes included.

               Daily rates  and 1/2 day rates are available upon request.

               SOME EXCURSIONS WILL REQUIRE A PARTICIPATION FEE OF $10-$15.

CANCELLATION POLICY:  Please note there is a $75 cancellation policy fee for registration.  50% of fee is refunded prior to the week of camp.  Once camp starts there is NO refund.  If your child has to be removed  because the behaviour exhibited compromises the safety of the children and the camp, there is NO refund.

Robotics with LEGO® EV3 Mindstorms

Experience the cutting edge of technology with the introduction of LEGO® EV3 Robotics. Students will be captivated as they incorporate the newest generation of motors, sensors and software by programming their commands directly into the intelligent brick. Test their capabilities by moving an object with a robotic claw, building a robot that draws, or creating a mouse trap. Our endless list of builds is sure to provide the complete fundamental components of robotics at its best! Ages 9-12 

Coding– The ability to code is a key component of technology education today. Children will experiment with the concepts of sequencing, looping and decision making. Our coding program will teach students important strategies to enhance their logic and problem-solving skills, as well as help them work toward becoming technological innovators of tomorrow. Our program offers a skill level progression of coding concepts. Students will be introduced to basic coding with a fun, user-friendly coding software.

Video Game Design- Students will develop a range of coding and problem-solving skills as they create fun video games. Game designers will think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively to create various video games. Each Game Design unit includes a themed mini-model built with LEGO® Bricks that will be the main character of all of the games. Each game progressively teaches more advanced capabilities within the video game design software. Students will be proud and excited to actually play their very own completed video games.  They take it home on a USB and play with their families!

Advanced Lego Spike-Prime Robotics. New advanced models and coding. Drones, smart cars, amusement park rides and more! Lots of intrigue, themes and challenges. Transformation Creations Camp– Get ready to build and discover how your model transforms!  Campers will love the mash-up of combination models that can be  rebuilt into something different.  These awesome 2-in-1 models will include exciting robots, vehicles and more. Follow the step-by-step building plans and ignite your inner engineer by using your imagination to transform your model into something unique. Ages 5-12 years old.

World of Science – Calling all future scientists! Come learn, build and experiment with us! Our budding astronomers, meteorologists, zoologists, and inventors will learn about space, weather, animals, and more! We’ll build all sorts of awesome scientific models and gadgets that are sure to spark both imagination and intellect. If you just can’t get enough of hands-on science fun, then you won’t want to miss out on our World of Science unit!

Wheels In Motion–These wheels are ready to roll! Students will use LEGO® Bricks, axles, pulleys, gears, and motors to build a variety of models on wheels. Some are familiar vehicles, such as a fire engine and delivery truck. Others are more spectacular, such as the Rescue Robot and K-9 Bot. Do you have a need for speed? Put your Speed Bot model to the test as your race against others using remote controls! We’ll explore concepts of speed and force, and gain non-vehicle knowledge from the unconventional Wheels in Motion models as well. Let’s roll!

Engineering Adventures– So you want to be an engineer or architect? Well what are you waiting for? This is your chance! Join us as we put our engineering skills to the test to build bridges, buildings, vehicles and more. We’ll learn about different types of careers for you to explore. Do you like to design cities? You might become an urban architect one day! Do you want to build bridges? Then civil engineering might be the job for you! Want to design the next cool electric car? Then you may be destined to become an automotive or mechanical engineer! Come experience engineering adventures with us!

Grab a buddy and get ready for the LEGO® race of your life! Teams will race around the world, gathering clues to perform tasks specific to that country and culture.  Look out for the double U-turn and speed bumps.Make sure you arrive at your “pit stop” with all your tasks accomplished! Bat League:  Heroes and Villains –  Enter the dark city  where a dangerous jokester and other evil villains wreak havoc. Thankfully, there is a bat hero who comes out each night to fight against these evil doers! The good guys will ride into action  as campers build motorized models of the bat hero’s speedy vehicle and bat girl’s sleek Cycle.  But keep the bat light searching for the evil Jokester’s  motorized low rider vehicle cruising through the city’s streets as well.  Send the bat hero swinging on his grappling hook technic model from one skyscraper to the next as he fights crime with his trusty super sidekick.  Campers will use their imaginations, building skills and crime-fighting passions in this thrilling camp of bat heroes and villains! Brick Critters – Ever wonder what your pets do while you are sleeping at school? This theme is inspired by the Secret Life of Pets® and Zootopia®.  Join Max, an adorable dog and Snowball the rabbit on this fun and fury adventure.  In addition to imagining what pets do when left alone, build various critters, including motorized buzzing bees, fluttering butterflies and more.  Ten, dive to the depths of the ocean with Dory to help her search for her family. Show off your take home handbook displaying all your Brick critters you built at this exciting camp! Ages 5-12.

Brick City Engineer- Let’s build a CITY! There are many different types of engineering jobs, and building is one of the most fun! What would a city be without the architects and engineers who come up with the ideas, plans and building skills to make it all come together? Campers will put their engineering and architecture skills to work as they build city themed models using LEGO® Bricks. The sky’s the limit when campers are challenged to use their own ideas and skills to build a skyscraper taller than their heads! They’ll have a blast using custom-built cars to move the people of the city all around town – brick by brick! What an accomplishment to be able to proudly exclaim “We built this BRICK City!” Ages 5-12.

World of Amusement- “Worlds of Amusement” camp takes you on a thrilling adventure building amusement park themed models. Spend time visiting the Wizard World by building your favorite wizard and his magical owl! Build and give your despicable yellow movie characters a thrilling roller coaster ride! Mining and Crafting

Minecraft® is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. At night monsters come out, make sure to build a shelter before that happens. Experience the world of Minecraft with Lego bricks at this fun summer camp!  Kids will start by crafting their shelters and some of the mobs, critters and tools using Lego bricks.  Students will face new challenges each day building models and crafting key elements from the popular Minecraft game. Ages 5-12

Minecraft is coupled with Architecture themes.  Campers will use their imaginations recreate their minecraft world in ancient and modern worlds.

Classic Brick Adventures

Jump into the world of classic arcade video games. Eat flashing dots, collect coins and rings, avoid getting killed by enemies….there are so many obstacles to overcome and levels to beat!!  People today have graphic animations and 3-dimensional capabilities.  Let’s take it back to when it all started, the 1980’s.  that was the time of the 8-bit and later the 16-bit technology, which gave these old games their classic appearance.  Campers will build the famous plumber brothers, a Brick Eater, a jumping hedgehog. alien invaders and more!  Can you guess which classic games each model represents? Ages 5-12
