SIGN-IN/SIGN-OUT POLICY

For the morning camp, please drop off your child between 8:50 am and 9:00 am each day.  You must pick up your child at 12:00 (morning camp) or 4:00 (afternoon camp).  Please do your best to arrive no later than 10 minutes after the camp has ended each day.

A Parent/Guardian, or other authorized adult must sign each child in/out of camp every morning and afternoon. The only people that your child will be released to are those listed on your information form. Note: all persons authorized to pick up campers must be at least 16 years of age. If someone other than a parent will pick up your child, please give us prior written notice. If there is an emergency and no one on your list can pick up your child, the primary parent/guardian must call 289-314-5439 to allow another adult to pick up the child or send a signed note of authorization with that person.

Late Pick-up:Ten minutes after the end of camp, we will call the individuals you have authorized to pick up your child. After

ten minutes, there will be a late charge fee of $10 for the first five minutes and $5 for each five-minute increments after, payable at the time of pickup. If an emergency arises, please call 289-314-5439 and leave a message that you will be late so we can explain to your child that you are on your way. Please note that repeated late pickups might result in termination from our program.

What’s the camper:staff ratio?
Our average camper:staff ratio is 16:1. In addition, we often have student assistants (high school students) who provide additional support for the campers.

Max Camp Enrollment:

* 24 Campers

CAMP CONDUCT:

Bricks 4 Kidz reserves the right to release, without refund of camp fees, any camper whose behavior becomes unmanageable. This action will not be taken without verbal and written warnings. No campers will be allowed to intentionally physically harm any other persons or person’s property while camp is in session. Bricks 4 Kidz highly discourages campers from bringing any electronic devices such as cell phones or video games to camp. All electronic devices are to remain off and put away while camp is in session. Bricks 4 Kidz is NOT responsible for damages or loss of any personal property while at camp. Campers will be allowed to store a backpack or bag if needed while at camp.

STAFF:
Who are the instructors?
Instructors are individuals who have a great interest and ability in teaching technology to students in an exciting way. Each instructor is trained in teaching specific lessons involving the software and technology products in the courses. In addition, all instructors go through a criminal history and sexual predator background check.

Do students take home their projects?
Since we use our LEGO® supplies in classes and camps throughout the year, students do not take home projects or pieces. We can provide a list of suppliers for LEGO® parts, though, if your son/daughter wants to get pieces/kits used in our classes.

AGE APPROPRIATENESS:
What about the age ranges – will my child be too young or too old compared with the rest of the class?
Our camps are age appropriate for children aged 5 to 12.  We state on certain camps if there is an age requirement (ie: Stop Motion 7 and up).  Our older students are encouraged to be positive role models to all members of camp.  Due to the different learning and abilities styles of our campers we often find that during our project build it is good to mix our campers allowing them to learn from each other.  During our games, free play and other activities we allow our campers to gravitate to those who they want to play with.

Will there be adult supervision throughout the day?
Yes! Our staff supervises the campers throughout the day, both in class, as well as during the snack breaks.  Also, we provide free lunch supervision for our all day campers!

Are refunds provided?
Yes, we understand that sometimes situations arise which require you to change plans. We offer a full refund if you request a refund 2 weeks before the start of a camp. If you need to request a refund 2 weeks or less before the first day of the camp, we will refund 50% of the tuition. There are no refunds within 1 week of the start of a camp.  Refunds will not be offered for attending partial weeks, sickness, closures due to inclement weather or Acts of God.
