New S.T.E.M. Educational Program for Children Partnering with North Vancouver Recreation Commission
Bricks 4 Kidz® is partnering with the North Vancouver Recreation Commission to offer a unique & exciting line up of Lego® programs for kids.
Bricks 4 Kidz® is in its first year of bringing a brand new and unique educational program for kids to North Vancouver. Their programs introduce students to S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) concepts through building with Lego® bricks. Bricks 4 Kidz® are very pleased to announce that they have partnered with the North Vancouver Recreation Commission to offer their programs in North Vancouver’s Karen Magnussen and Lynn Valley Community Recreation Centers.
In the hands-on, project based classes, students work together to build machines, buildings, vehicles and other creations out of specialized Lego® components using one-of-a-kind model plans designed by Bricks 4 Kidz®. The learning gem in their programs is that children develop creative problem solving skills, coordination, motor and communication skills while having an awesome time creating and building with Lego®. Bricks 4 Kidz® offers up the perfect solution for kids to get away from computer and video games and create, build and stretch their imaginations.
Kids love the programs because they are fun, engaging and the possibilities are endless. Parents love the programs because their kids are learning math, science and engineering concepts and how to collaborate on projects in a very supportive environment. Parents really like the photos and videos they receive from the teachers after the classes and how much their son or daughter is enjoying the program.
Chris Wilson, Managing Director and Head Teacher of Bricks 4 Kid® says, “We are excited to be partnering with the North Vancouver Recreation Commission, introducing and offering these fantastic programs to kids in North Vancouver. The kids are so focused in the classes and their imagination leads them to create without any inhibitions.” He also mentions the summer camps coming up at Lynn Valley Village Community Room with action packed themes like Space Adventures and Amusement Park Camps.
