Summer Camp at Los Alisos Intermediate School

CAMP 1 (Ages 6-12 years) From 9 am to 12pm                                                                      $165

MOVIE MAKING CAMPS- Stop motion Animation

 Light, camera, LEGO action! Use LEGO bricks to tell YOUR story complete with music, special effects and all your customized LEGO mini-figure!  Students will plan, script, stage, shoot and produce their own mini-movie using Stop Motion Animation Working as a team, students will use LEGO components to build the set props, then shoot their movie using a camera.  Teams will use movie-making software to add special effects, titles, credits and more.  All participants take home a customized Mini Figure.  Computer & Camera is provided.

Monday July 23rd to Friday July 29th

CAMP 2  (Ages 9-12 years)  from 1pm to 4pm                                                                    $165

Mindstorm- The hottest selling LEGO brand, Mindstorms combines classic LEGO building with the world of robotics, using motors, sensors and software.  You’ll learn how to design and program your LEGO ‘bots that can perform all kinds of tasks!  Mindstorm software lets you place icons in sequence to design the commands you want.  It’s easy to learn and it teaches basic programming logic. This camp is a fun and challenging introduction to the world of robotics for the advanced LEGO enthusiast!  Participants will build 4 different models during the 5 day camp and program it using the Mindstorm software.  All models will be using various sensors such as Sonar sensor to detect distance, Microphone to detect sound, touch sensors and light sensors.  Easy to follow instructions; includes step by step building of models and downloadable programs for the robots.  Students will have time to modify the program and make the model react differently based on the sensors inputs.
